1. Eagles fly alone and at High Altitudes.

They don't fly with sparrows, ravens, and other small birds.

MEANING: Stay away from narrow-minded people, those that bring you down. Eagle flies with Eagles. Keep good company.

2. Eagles have an Accurate Vision. They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

MEANING: Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles and you will succeed.

3. Eagles do not Eat Dead things. They Feed only on Fresh Prey.

MEANING: Do not rely on your past Success; keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.

4. Eagles Love the Storm.

When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited; the eagle uses the storms wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of the tree.

MEANING: Face your challenges head on knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges; rather they relish them and use them profitably.

5. When a Female Eagle Meets a Male Eagle and they want to mate, she flies down to earth, picks a twig and flies back into the air with the male eagle in hot pursuit. Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she drops the twig and let it fall to the ground while she watches. The male eagle chases after the twig and catches it before it reached the ground, then bring it back to the female eagle. The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a much higher altitude and drops the twig again for the male eagle to chase. This goes on for hours with the height increasing each time until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of picking the twig which shows commitment. Then and only then will she allow him to mate with her.

MEANING: Whether in private life or business, one should test the commitment of the people intended for partnership.

6. Eagles Prepare for Training;

They remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that the young ones get uncomfortable in preparation for flying and eventually flies when it becomes unbearable to stay in the nest.

MEANING: Leave your Comfort Zone, there is No Growth there.

7. When the Eagle Grows Old,

His feathers becomes weak and cannot take him as fast and as high as it should. This makes him weak and could make him die. So he retires to a place far away in the mountains. While there, he plucks out the weak feathers on his body and breaks its beaks and claws against the rocks until he is completely bare; a very bloody and painful process. Then he stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, new beaks and claws and then he comes out flying higher than before.

MEANING: We occasionally need to shed off old habit no matter how difficult, things that burden us or add no value to our lives should be let go of.

Ambition In the race called life, several challenges appear and several emerge from meaningless sources. It’s very easy to choose an ambition, whether it is hard or an easy battle to conquer. If you are honestly dedicated to your ambition, that aim will also lead to some obstacles in the way. Generally it’s hard to overcome the mental stress encountered because of initial failures on the way to a destination or aim. Most of us quit and blame their fate or other people for their failures. Blaming will lead you to nothing but understanding the errors we do. “An aimless life is like a journey without destination”

These few words have defined the importance of ambition in life. Few of us contradict aim with wealth. But wealth is for greed as ambition is for winners. Choosing your ambition is important and needs to be driven by passion. If the conclusion turns out as YES, then find out ways to achieve it and choose the one which is suitable for you. Work hard and give your best. Here the term ‘work Hard does not mean blind approach. It means approaching aim smartly and working according to the plan and requirements. That means consistent directed self motivated effort.

Ones your aim is targeted, there will be several instances when you will see yourself standing on a dead end and you find it hard to either leave the way and go back to choose another destination or to stop there. Don’t stop there, there is always a way ahead, the only thing you need is ‘WILL’ to achieve your aim. The dead end is nothing but just a thought that appears when you face a stroke of hard situations. There is always a way and the way is on the way.

Failure not only means a failed attempt toward your aim, but it also defines your mistakes, shortcomings, and drawbacks that you possess. It depends on you, whether you choose mental stress or go deep into those mistakes and find out the ways to overcome them. Failures and mistakes never mean that you should stop, but they mean that you must rise up and fight against them. Persistence is most important factor here to understand.

A thirsty man can only enjoy the taste of water; in the same way, the cost of success is only felt by one who has tasted the failures. Rise up, gear up yourself, focus and find an alternate of it. Follow it, stay ready to face hurdles and finally you will find yourself on the zenith. And those tears of achieving success are priceless for an aspirant and that moment becomes the memorable and a remarkable moment of your entire life.

So never be afraid of failures or fall downs. They are meant to make you strong and tough and making you suitable for your destination. Prepare yourself to face all kinds of circumstances and set up your mind to redirect to your aim at every moment. A single full hearted stroke on target is more effective than thousand weak strokes. Overcome your failures, but don’t let them overcome you

Always remember,

“Pain and failures are temporary. These will remain for a minute, a day a month or a year, but if you don’t quit and stay on, you will reach your destination.”
Wishing you Success always!!! God bless you!!! Love you as always!!!

The 90/10 Principle – by Stephen Covey

10% of life is made up of what happens to you…
90% of life is decided by how you react.

We really have NO control over the 10% of what happens to us.
The 90% is different.
YOU determine the 90%

By The Way You React.
You cannot predict to control unplanned situation, such as an accident, a death, being late to school, in traffic, and so on…
However, you can control your reaction.
What you can do, is simple.
Do not let circumstances, or people to fool you.
YOU can control how you react.
Let me explain this to you with an example:

Let’s take this example: ( True story!)

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens when next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive at a speed of 60 Kilometer an hour in a 40 km hour road. Traffic police stops you and fine you. After so much of mess you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 50 minutes late, you find you forgot your Laptop. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter. Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is “D.”

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, “It’s ok honey, you just need to be more careful next time.” Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your Laptop, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having. Notice the difference? Two different scenarios

Both started the same. Both ended different. Why? Because of how you “REACTED”. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.

If someone says something negative about you, don’t be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don’t have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Scream on the steering wheel? Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and scold them with the bad words in your vocabulary? Nothing will happen if you arrive ten seconds late? Why let the traffic ruin your day?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it. You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job. The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse.

Now you know the 90/10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90/10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle. The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.” (End of Dr. Covey’s presentation)

Indeed, we Indian’s can improve a lot if we follow Dr. Covey’s 90/10 Principle. The sorry state of our country can be largely attributed to our way of reacting to situations that fate had dealt us. We’ve allowed the 10% that we cannot control to ruin our lives instead of grabbing the opportunity to neutralize the negative and surge ahead.

Dreams your Dreams - Size of your dream:
“Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure.” These words of the great scientist Thomas A. Edison, imply that in order to progress, one should not be satisfied. In other words, we should have aspirations to do better and become better. These aspirations become our dreams and passion. To live your life to the fullest, one key factor you need to remember is the size of your dreams. If your dreams are small, you will miss many things in life. You will miss them not because they are out of your reach, but because your limiting beliefs hinder you from reaching them. “If nobody doubts your dream, it’s not ambitious enough.” said Zachary Reid. Your life is too precious to be spent pursuing small dreams. Dream big so that you can reach your full potential. Let’s see the attributes of dreams and how to convert them into reality.

The dream should be clear

At the very outset, you need to clearly define exactly what your dreams are. This is not the time to deal in generalities; you need to be very specific. It is not enough to say “I want to lose weight”. It should specify how much should be your weight and by which date. One of the best ways is to write down a detailed description of exactly what you want to accomplish. The feelings about the kind of life you will lead, are your greatest source of motivation and energy.

Take action to realize your dream

Now that you can see and feel your dreams with clarity, it’s time to begin moving toward them. What steps do you need to take to move you closer to realizing these dreams? What action can you take each and every day to keep you moving in the right direction? Make a time plan and check your progress at each stage. Remember, persistence and continuity are the keys, don’t let the momentum break. I am reminded of the words of Walt Disney, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”

Imagine the fulfillment of your dream

Imagine how wonderful you would feel when your dream becomes a reality. If your dream was a beautiful new home, don’t see it from the outside; see yourself in the middle of that beautiful dream house. See yourself living there, going about your daily activities, feeling completely at home and comfortable. If you have been actively moving toward a new career, visualize yourself actually performing the duties of that career.

Expect challenges ahead.

In working on your dreams, prepare yourself to meet difficulties. Expect challenges ahead. That way you won’t lose heart when difficulties come. You will be able to keep going. If failure comes in your way, take it as a stepping stone to success. People will tell you “you can’t do it”, become deaf to them. When confronted with obstacles remember,” When the going gets tough, the tough get going”. The ‘burning desire’ to actualize your dream should be so strong, that nothing should be able to stop you.

Dream come true

There is a friend of mine Kumar, who was working as an Insurance adviser. He nurtured a dream to buy a car. He saw an advertisement of Honda City car in a magazine. He was so fascinated by the bright red color that he cut out the ad and pasted it on the mirror of his dressing table. He used to see it every day and the image got engraved in his mind. He wrote the date on which he would buy the Honda City, on the advertisement posted on the mirror. He went to the Honda showroom and took a test drive of the car. Kumar was so impressed that he booked the car by depositing the initial amount. He inquired about the cost and made a plan to earn the money in one year. He increased the number of calls daily and worked with increased enthusiasm .Each day he felt that he was reaching closer to realizing his dream. Finally the day came when Kumar checked his bank balance and found that he had enough money to pay for the car. He went to the dealer to buy the red car of his dreams. Unfortunately the dealer did not have the red color available, so he asked Kumar to choose another color. But Kumar insisted on the red color only, so the dealer asked him to come next week. But somehow not a single car of red color was received in the new stock. The dealer asked Kumar why he was particular about the red color. Kumar showed the advertisement which he had pasted on the mirror, and narrated the story behind his dream. The dealer was amazed to see the advertisement. He said that when this model of Honda City was launched, a red color car was sent to his showroom. The photograph of that red car was used for the advertisement and it was placed in his showroom, where it stands till now. He said ”I never knew there is so much power in dreams! I will happily give this red car to you and place a car of another color in the showcase.”

As rightly said by our former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, “Dream is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep.” Once your dream becomes your passion, it engulfs you from all directions .Then you start living the dream, your mind keeps racing ahead to fulfill it, and all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. It would be apt to conclude with the words of Eleanor Roosevelt “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Wishing you Success always!!! God bless you!!! Love you as always!!!

You can't make me want what I don't want because I know what I want in life, I know what I'm here for! If you don't know what you want in the life you will accept anything coming your way that's looking good, anything that's would keep you from fulfilling your purpose and making your mark in the world you want to accept. Do yourself, me and the world a favor and figure out what it is that you really want, do it for the sake of those you love and care about you if not for yourself.

What do you want in life?
What kind of relationship do you want have with your parents, friends, neighbors, peers etc…?
What kind of relationship do you want with everybody?
What type of life do you want to live?
How do you want express gratitude to the Creator for blessing you with Human life?
How much money do you want to make?
What motor vehicle do you want to drive?
How to do you want your health to be?

Stop living life like an animal! What do you want to do in life? When you find out what you want, spend the rest of your life going after it and keep growing it till you breathe the last time.

"There is no excuse for not living your life up to your potential! We can draw inspiration from man Called “Narendra Modi”. Prime Minister of the great country “India”. And not just Prime Minister, one of the greatest Prime Minister in Indian History.

It is said that your attitude is your altitude; it determines how high you fly. This simple yet crucial statement was well understood by a little boy Narendra Modi.

Now, what's your excuse?

It's time we really think about what you want, do not allow your emotions to control you! It's time to discipline your emotions now, if you don't discipline and contain your emotions they will use you!

Start now and think what you want?

if you are serious and make a dream for yourself, you can do it. You heard it right you can do it, yes you can do it too! Don’t think how can I do when I am nothing now, But think that I need to do this, and there is a way and the way is on the way.

Work as hard as you can! Study as long as it takes! Do whatever it takes to get whatever it Is that you want! You just do what you want do when it's all over and you see the rewards!

You can go much further than you think you can, you got 5 gears and why are you are stuck in 3rd gear, why are you are stuck in 4th gear! I challenge you to push it to all the gears you got! Give it everything you got! Not as much as you can! See how far you can go, see how much you can achieve? Accomplish! See what you can do what you can have! I assure you there is no limit.

See what your life will look like if you don't count the cost, you have to be determined and willing to go further than anybody else is willing to go in your field! Be in control, you have to declare that "this" is what you stand for. Take full responsibility for your life. Live your life with passion.

Wishing you Success always!!! God bless you!!! Love you as always!!!

Love Affair

I believe there is a huge difference in the way successful and unsuccessful people think. The challenge is that the unsuccessful people are not tenacious to have a love affair with success due to their limiting beliefs. Many changes are happening around which demands us to be more innovative as we are gradually approaching towards a new lifestyle. Time and again I get into the introspective mood, an inner tug of war go deep within analyzing my own journey and asking myself this question frequently;

Will I make great in my life? Am I having love affair with Success?

Am I on the right track? Have I achieved all my dreams and ambitions? Did I do justice to my Potential? I am sure many of you must be thinking alike. Each one we want to be affluent, successful but without leaving the comfort. Anyone who has steered victory and became successful in his own direction or is in the process has to experience many failures.

Let me ask you:

What does Success means to you?

  • Becoming a Politician
  • Starting your own venture/Bussiness
  • Excellent education for your kids
  • Buying a Villa
  • Buying your favorite car
  • World trip with your family
  • Leaving the world as a better place than how you found it. Etc….

We must analyze what we cut for, Our Drive, Our Passion. I believe, when we do what we sincerely love doing, there is just no looking back. I come across a few observations from my life which I want to share before you start a plan for your success:

Prioritize: Be very clear what you want to achieve. There always be people around you to make you settle down, want you to believe that you have set your aspirations too high, telling you to put all your dreams in a box and carry forward an average life. It’s their problem, not yours, don't settle for less than what you must aspire for.

Expect more from yourself: : if we are talking to students from school or colleges, we genrally ask this question. The question is do you remember who is class first, When I ask who is no. 5 or 8, we barely get the answer what we are looking for. This is exactly what is applicable to our lives. We need to aim to be number one.

Identity your strengths: Each one of us has the power to do something big. Always harness your power to PASSION. If it is inside you, jeopardize it will not take much of the time coming outside if you work on it. Trust your heart: Do not choose a net jeopardizes yourself. It is YOU & ONLY YOU who has the power to RISE above all the noise around .Have guts to say it to yourself, I can do it.

I have shared my personal experience. I encountered all the resourceful people in my life during the usually unplanned meet, a walk or on a flight. I mean when you conceive something with all your heart, the universe conspires it to happen & join the dots for you.

“If you want to have more, you have to become more. For things to change, you have to change.
For things to get better, you have to become better. If you improve, everything will improve for you.
If you grow, your money will grow your relationships, your health, your business and every external and internal effect.

The best part;

If you have started working towards your dreams, you are already ahead from all those people who are yet to begin. There are numerous brilliant students graduating every year but once in a while cause a phenomenon like Tata or Reliance and on the other side we see many business entrepreneurs expanding into chain of multiple divisions and achieving sky rocket success. To taste it, one has to be seasoned & conditioned for years.

Useless and Used Less:

Once there was a man who did not make it to university. So, his mother got him a wife. After the marriage, he worked as a teacher in a primary school. Due to the lack of experience, he was squashed by the students in less than a week.

When he returned home, his wife dried his tears. She comforted him with these words. 'When one is too full, he could either pour it out what's in him or he just could not pour it out at all. You should not be too sad about it. Probably there is a more suitable job waiting for you out there.'

Later on, he found another job and not for so long, he was fired due to his slowness. This time, the wife commented. 'There are always people who are skilful and non skilful. Some have experience from their years of work. As for you, you were in school all this while. So, how could you acquire these needed skills?'

He went for a number of jobs but never stayed long in those jobs. Each time, he would return home with a dejected spirit. His wife would always comfort him and never for once, she was disappointed or resentful.

He was in his thirties when he acquired a flair in communications. He became a counselor in a school for the deaf and mute. Later on, he opened a school for the disabled. A few years later, he set up chain stores in different cities and provinces selling apparatus & equipment for the disabled. He became a multi-millionaire. He was John Doe!

One day he asked his wife. 'When I was looking bleak at my own future, what's the reason that you have so much faith in me?'

His wife gave him a very simple reply. She said, 'When a piece of land is not suitable for planting wheat, we could try planting beans. If the beans are not growing well, we could try planting fruits or gourds. If the vegetation is not economical, we can instead scatter buckwheat seeds. These seeds will one day bloom into flowers. On this land itself, there will be one seed that will germinate and grow.'

After having listened to the wife's explanation, he cried. His wife's faith, love, patience, and persistence in him is liken to the one seed in the land. This is the seed that persists and creates the miracle on this piece of land.

"In this world, there's no one person who is useless. It is just that they have not positioned themselves firmly in right place" Wishing you Success always!!! God bless you!!! Love you as always!!!

“If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self.” - Napoleon Hill

Everyone wants to achieve success. But very few people achieve the success. What helps them reach towards success? There are number of secrets and strategies towards success. The first and foremost among them is Self-discipline which is the most important secret towards achieving success.

There is one special quality that you can develop that will guarantee you greater success, accomplishment and happiness in life.  Of a thousand principles for success developed over the ages, this one quality or practice will do more to assure that you accomplish wonderful things with your life than anything else.  This quality is so important that, if you don’t develop it to a high degree, it is impossible for you to ever achieve what you are truly capable of achieving.

There are many important qualities that can contribute to a person’s achievements and happiness, but there is only one that begets sustainable, long-term success in all aspects of life: Self discipline. Whether in terms of your diet, fitness, work ethic or relationships,  Self discipline is the number one trait needed to accomplish goals, lead a healthy lifestyle, and ultimately, be happy.

Self discipline is a learned behavior. It requires practice and repetition in your day-to-day life. To improve your own self discipline, test out these proven methods for gaining better control. This regimen will help you to establish good habits, break bad ones, and improve your control by making simple changes to your everyday routine. Improved self discipline will allow you to live a freer life by helping you to make healthy choices, not emotional ones. Give it a shot. Your happiness will thank you for it.

It is a habit, a practice, a philosophy and a way of living.  All successful men and women are highly disciplined in the important work that they do.  All unsuccessful men and women are undisciplined and unable to control their behaviors and their appetites.  And when you develop the same levels of high, personal discipline possessed by the most successful people in our society, you will very soon begin to achieve the same results that they do.

All great success in life is preceded by long, sustained periods of focused effort on a single goal, the most important goal, with the determination to stay with it until it is complete.  Throughout history, we find that every man or woman who achieved anything lasting and worthwhile, had engaged in long, often unappreciated hours, weeks, months and even years of concentrated, disciplined work, in a particular direction.  Fortunately the quality of self discipline is something that you can learn by continuous practice, over and over, until you master it.  Once you have mastered the ability to delay gratification, the ability to discipline yourself to keep your attention focused on the most important task in front of you, there is virtually no goal that you cannot accomplish and no task that you cannot complete.

Self control is often easiest when abiding by the old saying, “out of sight, out of mind.” Removing all temptations and distractions from your environment is a crucial first step when working to improve Self discipline. If you are trying to have better control of your eating, only eat healthy food. If you want to improve your focus on work, remove all distractions away from your work desk. Don’t allow anyone and anything in the world to distract you like your phone, or people around you etc.

Self-discipline means training oneself to stick to the required behavior although the person is willing to do something else at heart but he does as he is expected to do it. Self-discipline is a trait, habit and a skill. It requires consistent efforts to remain self-disciplined. In fact, consistency is the key to self-discipline. Self-discipline needs struggles and sacrifices. Success springs from such strenuous efforts and energies.

Self-discipline is sticking to tight schedules, rules and regulations without anybody’s influence. In a nut shell, being duty-conscious, being punctual, eating healthy and in discipline, being conscious of others, being organized and being initiative are the bedrock for self-discipline. It must go deep within the subconscious mind. It is like minding one’s own work without being reminded by others.

Self-discipline is combination of self-control, self-command, self-regulation and self-feedback. Hitting work outs regularly, taking timely food and leading a systematic life become the bedrock of self-discipline.

Will power and self-discipline are two sides of the same coin. While will power helps in overcoming laziness and procrastination self-discipline helps in developing stamina, endurance, resilience and tenacity, perseverance and motivation. When you are equipped with these two traits you will be confident of taking the things forward. Both are investments for future success.

Self-discipline empowers your personality. It equips you with several tools and techniques that help in achieving success. It makes you stand out of the crowd. It makes you rise from the rest. It will project you as a leader who stands different from others.

1. Focus on commitment, not Motivation.

Just how committed are you to your goal? How important is it for you, and what are you willing to sacrifice in order to achieve it? If you find yourself fully committed, motivation will follow.

2. Seek knowledge, not Results.

If you focus on the excitement of discovery, improving, exploring and experimenting, your motivation will always be fueled. If you focus only on results, your motivation will be like weather—it will die the minute you hit a storm. So the key is to focus on the journey, not the destination. Keep thinking about what you are learning along the way and what you can improve.

3. Make the Journey fun.

It’s a great game! The minute you make it serious, there’s a big chance it will start carrying a heavy emotional weight and you will lose perspective and become stuck again. Therefore enjoy the journey.

4. Get rid of stagnating thoughts.

Thoughts influence feelings, and feelings determine how you view your work. You have a lot of thoughts in your head, and you always have a choice of which ones to focus on: the ones that will make you emotionally stuck (fears, doubts) or the ones that will move you forward (excitement, experimenting, trying new things, stepping out of your comfort zone).

5. Use your Imagination.

Next step after getting rid of negative thoughts is to use your imagination. When things go well, you are full of positive energy, and when you are experiencing difficulties, you need to be even help. So rename your situation. If you keep repeating I hate my work, guess which feelings those words will evoke? It’s a matter of imagination! You can always find something to learn even from the worst situation in the world at the most boring job. I have a great exercise for you: Just for three days, think and say positive things only. Just observe what happens.

6. Stop being nice to yourself.

Motivation means action and action brings results. Sometimes your actions fail to bring the results you want. So you prefer to be nice to yourself and not put yourself in a difficult situation. You wait for the perfect timing, for an opportunity, while you drive yourself into stagnation and sometimes even into depression. Get out there, challenge yourself, do something that you want to do even if you are afraid.

7. Get rid of distractions.

Meaningless things and distractions will always be in your way, especially those easy, usual things you would rather do instead of focusing on new challenging and meaningful projects. Learn to focus on what is the most important. List out time-wasting distractions and hold yourself accountable to not to be addicted to those.

8. Don’t depend on others.

You should never depend on others to do things or you, not even your partner, friend or boss. They are all busy with their own needs and focus. No one will make you happy or achieve your goals for you. It’s only you.

9. Plan.

Know your steps forward. You do not need more. Fill out your weekly calendar, Plan when you will do what and how. When-what-how is important to schedule. Review how each day went by what you learned and revise what you could improve.

10. Protect yourself from burnout.

It’s easy to burn out when you are very motivated. Observe yourself to recognize any signs of tiredness and take time to rest. Your body and mind rest when you schedule relaxation and fun time into your weekly calendar. Do diverse tasks, keep switching between something creative and logical, something physical and still, working alone and with a team. Switch locations. Meditate, or just take deep breaths, close your eyes, or focus on one thing for few minutes.

You lack motivation not because you are lazy or don’t have a goal. Even the biggest stars, richest business people or the most accomplished Cricketer get lost sometimes. What makes them motivated is the curiosity about how much better they can get. So above all, be curious, and this will lead you to your goals and success.

"Your World" will become what you Choose to make it.

Comfort feels good, but it can water down your best possibilities. Today, rise above the comfort and make some real progress.

Put new excellence and value in the world with your eagerness to take the challenges. Step beyond what is easy and familiar and step into the realm of high achievements.

Embrace responsibility, action and commitment. Be willing to say what must be said; Do what is good and right.

Comfort is pleasant, but too much comfort will melt you into complacency. Too much desire for comfort will imprison you in a situation where nothing gets done.

Enjoy life’s comforts but be careful not to let them hold you back. Find occasional refuge in comfort, then step again into the challenging world where you can get plenty of good work done.

You have much to offer, much to do and much to give to life. Rise above the comfort and achieve great things.

A RABBIT runs, jumps, moves faster and lives for only fifteen 15 years while a TORTOISE doesn't even attempt any of such activities but lives for 150 years or more.

Life is not about rushing, comparison and doing what others are doing but rather keep calm and do what is right and what you are called to do.

They may live in the same forest and play together but have different life expectancy.

We must remember that we will have Age mates, Class mates, School mates, Office mates but there are no DESTINY MATE in  life.

Be who you are called to be, love who you are and thank God for your special journey which may not look like others!!This is the simplest way to succeed in life!!

These principles can be practiced and followed to make you successful:

1.      Do what you love. Steve Jobs once told a group of employees, “People with passion can change the world for the better.”  Steve has followed his heart his entire life and that passion, he says, has made all the difference.  It’s very difficult to come up with new, creative, and novel ideas unless you are passionate about moving or changing something in your life.

2.      Vision. Passion fuels the rocket, but vision directs the rocket to its ultimate destination. In 1976, when Jobs and Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple, Jobs’ vision was to put a computer in the hands of everyday people.  In 1979, Jobs saw an early and crude graphical user interface being demonstrated at the Xerox XRX +0.14% research facility in Palo Alto, California.  He knew immediately that the technology would make computers appealing to “everyday people.”  That technology eventually became The Macintosh, which changed everything about the way we interact with computers.  Xerox scientists didn’t realize its potential because their “vision” was limited to making new copiers.  Two people can see the exactly the same thing, but perceive it differently based on their vision.

3.      Kick start your brain. Steve Jobs once said “Creativity is connecting things.”  Connecting things means seeking inspiration from others.  At various times, Jobs has found inspiration in a phone book, Zen meditation, visiting India, a food processor at Macy’s, or The Four Seasons hotel chain.  Steve didn’t “steal” ideas as much as he uses ideas from others to inspire his own creativity.

4.      Sell dreams, not products. To Steve Jobs, people who buy Apple products are not “consumers.”  They are people with hopes, dreams and ambitions.  He builds products to help people achieve their dreams.  He once said, “some people think you’ve got to be crazy to buy a Mac, but in that craziness we see genius.”  How do you see your customers?  Help them unleash their inner genius and you’ll win over their hearts and minds.

5.      Say no to 1,000 things. Steve Jobs once said, “I’m as proud of what we don’t do as I am of what we do.”  He is committed to building products with simple, uncluttered design.  And that commitment extends beyond products. From the design of the iPod to the iPad, from the packaging of Apple’s products, to the functionality of the Web site, in Apple’s world, innovation means eliminating the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.

6.      Create great experiences. The Apple store has become the world’s one of wanted product by introducing simple innovations any one can adopt to create deeper, more emotional connections with their customers.  For example, there are no cashiers in an Apple store. There are experts, consultants, even geniuses, but no cashiers.  Why?  Because Apple is not in the business of moving boxes; they are in the business of enriching lives.  Big difference.

7.      Master the message. Steve Jobs is the world’s greatest corporate storyteller, turning product launches into an art form.  You can have the most innovative idea in the world, but if you can’t get people excited about it, it doesn’t work. Learn the art and also know how to communicate.

Innovation is a new way of doing things that result in positive change. Innovation is attainable by anyone at any organization, regardless of title or position.  Make innovation a part of your daily life, DNA by thinking differently about your area of work.

I have always been telling everyone  "You can't hire someone else to do your push-up's for you". You must do them yourself if you have to get any value out of them. Whether it is exercising, meditating, reading, studying, learning anything new, setting goals for yourself, or practicing a new skill. You have to do it. No one else can do these things for you. GPS can guide you the way, but you will have to drive. If you choose to put in the effort, I promise you the rewards will be worth it.

"There is a vast difference between failure and temporary defeat."

There is no such thing as failure, unless it is accepted and given up. Every defeat is temporary unless you give up and allow it to become permanent. In fact, temporary defeat often makes us stronger and more capable. Each time we try and fail, we learn something that helps prepare us for eventual success. Only in the School you will find a single correct answer for every Question/Problem. But in Life it is not the same. For each and every situation you can handle in different ways and approaches. If you try an approach that doesn’t work, try something else. When you view adversity as nothing more than a learning experience, your successes in life will far outnumber your failures.

Remember "You" are born to's right "YOU"!    @@@@@Unni Krishnan

"You can't succeed if you can't relate well with people. People make people successful. No one has ever been successful in a vacuum. It's symbiotic! It doesn't matter what work you do; sometimes you need a push from someone, a little encouragement from someone or just to pick you up when you are down; someone to wipe your tears or simply give you a shoulder to lean on!. Success is not all about material possessions; big cars, big houses, 'fat' bank account balances. I do agree that they are all good but they are not everything! If you ever go to the funeral of a rich man, then you will understand what I mean! Always live a Happy Life with people around you... Build relationships as you strive for success. You can do it. I BELIEVE IN YOU!"

Once Buddha was sitting with his disciples. One of them asked him "What is Karma?"

Buddha said, Let me tell you a story...

The Story goes like this:-

A king was touring his kingdom on his elephant. Suddenly he stopped in front of a shop in the market and said to his minister, "I don't know why, but I want to hang the owner of this shop." The minister was shocked. But before he could ask the king why, the king had moved on.

The next day, the minister went to that shop dressed as one of the locals to see the shopkeeper. He casually asked him how his business was faring. The shopkeeper, a sandalwood merchant, reported sadly that he had hardly any customer. People would come to his shop, smell the sandalwood and then go away. They would even praise the quality of the sandalwood but rarely buy anything. His only hope was that the king would die soon. Then there would be a huge demand for sandalwood for performing his last rites. As he was the only sandalwood merchant around, he was sure the king's death would mean a windfall.

The minister now understood why the king had stopped in front of this shop and expressed a desire to kill the shopkeeper. Perhaps, the shopkeeper's negative thought's vibration had subtly affected the king, who had, in turn, felt the same kind of negative thought arising within.

Just note how things work in this Universe.

The minister; a nobleman, pondered over the matter for a while. Without revealing who he was or what had happened the day before, he expressed a desire to buy some sandalwood. The shopkeeper was pleased. He wrapped the sandalwood and handed it over to the minister.

When the minister returned to the palace, he went straight to the court where the king was seated and reported that the sandalwood merchant had a gift for him. The king was surprised. When he opened the package, he was pleasantly surprised by the fine golden color of the sandalwood and its agreeable fragrance. Pleased, he sent some gold coins to the sandalwood merchant.

The king felt sorry in his heart that he had harbored unbecoming thoughts of killing the shopkeeper.

When the shopkeeper received the gold coins from the king, he was astounded. He began to proclaim the virtues of the king who had, through the gold coins, saved him from the brink of poverty. After some time, he recalled the morbid thoughts he had felt towards the king and repented for having entertained such negative thoughts for his own personal goal.

If we have a good and kind thought for another person, that positive thought will come back to us in a favorable way. But if we harbor evil thoughts, those thoughts will come back to us as retribution.

"Everything is this Universe so beautifully designed"

"What is Karma?" asked Buddha

Many replied, "our words, our deeds, our feelings, our actions......"

Buddha shook his head and said

”Your thoughts are your Karma!"

So....please try and understand how the law works and try not to have any ill feeling or thoughts to anyone in this world and in turn become peaceful.

If you don't believe you can you'll simply give up

That's automatic failure

Over the years you've formed beliefs that say you can't do with certain things or that you can't achieve your goals.

These are the beliefs that need to change. And you can change them by taking control of your thoughts and creating new beliefs Just follow the simple

What you believe is what you get.

If you believe that life is difficult then you'll always have

difficulty in life.

If you believe there are no good ways to make money then you'll never find a great way to make money.

Your life is a mirror of your beliefs So if you're having difficulty in a particular area of your life then take a look at your beliefs in that area.

You'll discover a number of beliefs that are holding you back and preventing you from succeeding.

These need to be changed. And the sooner you do that the better.

The longer the beliefs stay in place the stronger they get

and the harder they become to change or remove.

Over the years you developed your beliefs which shaped your life.

These beliefs are formed based on your experiences and how you see things.

Now they continue to shape your life.

Your subconscious keeps creating your life based on your beliefs.

But you get to decide if you want to keep your limiting beliefs.

Beliefs that don't allow you to succeed or don't help you achieve your goals should be removed and replaced

Now you can't simply dig into your mind and remove all the beliefs that don't work for you.

Instead, you have to apply specific steps, change your thought patterns, then remove and replace the negative beliefs.

You can start doing that right now

When you believe... anything is possible.

You can achieve your goals.

You can enjoy greater success.

Create the right beliefs.

Create beliefs that allow you to succeed

Start enjoying the success you want now

In the Forest/Jungle which animal is the:

Biggest ........ Elephant

Tallest ........ Giraffe

Wisest ........ Fox

Fastest ........ Cheetah

Yet, the Lion is the KING of the jungle even without ANY of these qualities.!!

Why??       Because.........

The Lion is courageous, bold, walks with confidence, dares anything and is never afraid.

The Lion believes he is unstoppable.

The Lion is a risk taker.

The Lion believes any animal is food for him.

The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a try and never lets it slip from his hands.

- What is it that we get to learn from - Lion??

• You don't need to be the fastest.

• You don't need to be the wisest.

• You don't need to be the smartest.

• You don't need to be the most brilliant.

• All you need is courage

• All you need is the will to try.

• All you need is the faith to believe it is possible.

• All you need is to believe in yourself, that you can be who God made you and do what He created you for!!

It's TIME to bring out the Lion in you!!

A wise old man was sitting at the river bank.

He saw a cat that had fallen into the river struggling to save itself from drowning.

The man decided to save the cat. He stretched out his hand towards the cat but the cat scratched him. He pulled his hand back in pain.

However, a few minutes later he stretched out his hand again to save the cat, but it scratched him again, and again he pulled his hand back in pain.

A few minutes later he was again trying for the third time!!

A man, who was nearby watching what was happening, yelled out, "O wise man, you have not learned your lesson the first time, nor the second time, and now you are trying to save the cat a third time?"

The wise man paid no heed to that man's scolding, and kept on trying until he managed to save the cat.

He then walked over to the man, and patted his shoulder saying: "My son... it is in the cat's nature to scratch, and it is in my nature to love and have sympathy. Why do you want me to let the cat's nature overcome mine?

"My son, treat people according to your nature, not according to theirs, no matter what they are like and no matter how numerous their actions that harm you and cause you pain sometimes. And do not pay heed to all the voices that loudly call out to you to leave behind your good qualities merely because the other party is not deserving of your noble actions. So never regret the moments you gave happiness to someone, even if that person did not deserve it.

God treats us according to His nature, just think where we would be if He were to treat us as per our nature... That is why He saves us in spite of ourselves

                                                                        Unni Krishnan

Most of us used to see a "Half-Filled Glass" as "Half Empty" rather than "Half Full". When we look at a situation, the common tendency is to think about the bad side rather than the "Good".

There is a story which I had read quite a long back. The story goes like this. A man was stranded on a desert island and had to find a way to survive.

While he was on the Island he always had two types of thoughts. He thought over his situation and he entered what was happening to him into two columns. This is what he wrote:

“I am stranded on the desert island, which is bad. But I am still alive, which is good. The rest of the people on the ship died, but I survived.”

Next, he wrote, “I am all alone, which is bad. But I am not starving, which is good.”

As he thought further about his situation he wrote, “I have no clothes, which is bad. But, on the other hand, it is so hot here that I do not need clothes, so that is good.”

Then he wrote, “I have no weapons to defend myself against animals, which is bad. But there are no wild animals along this beach here, so that is good.”

Finally, he wrote, “I have no one to talk to, which is bad. But the ship is near the shore and I can get things from the ship for my basic needs, which is good.”

There was no situation so terrible that humans could not find a reason to have gratitude to Universe. There is a silver lining in everything.

This attitude is a healthy one and saves a lot of time being anxious, worried, depressed, and disheartened. The time can be used instead to find truth, by staying focused on our goal. Every time we complain and fret over our situation, we are wasting valuable time.

Two people may go to the same party. One may spend time finding fault with all the people there, complaining about the food, and feeling upset that his or her expectations were not met. Another person may find enjoyment being with the other people and selecting food from the buffet that he or she enjoys. Both are in the same environment. One is finding what is wrong and the other is looking for what is good and joyous. When they both leave the party one will say he or she had a terrible time, and the other will say he or she had a great time. Which one will feel more uplifted and buoyant at the end of the party?

Similarly, each day we face many situations.  We can choose to focus on the bad and spend the rest of our time complaining and being disappointed, or we can choose to focus on what is good and take joy and pleasure from it.

Do you know one reality there are more good people in this Universe than the bad once.

But Bad once makes more noise that is the reason many of us feel that there is more bad.

New Year has just begun. Let's bring about a small change the way we live. Let's be a “Compulsive Good Finder” in every situation and where ever we are. And also ensure we broadcast the good so that this will become our dominant attitude.

In our country India we are blessed with great values and cultures which are so divinely and Spiritual.

I want each one of you who would like to be Successful in Life bring this qualitative shift in life. You might know the phrase "You Reap what you Sow".

Therefore, start practicing this one quality and become a "Compulsive Good Finder" in Every Situation/Every Place and ensure to broadcast those. Let the Good make more Noise. Now a days we have easy and free social media at our disposal. Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram etc. Use them.

For example, if you are travelling in autorickshaw and you find he is not charging you more rather he is asking the exact charges and returning you the required balance without you pushing for it. Say thank you to him and then ensure you take a picture of his with his autorickshaw and spread this. Similarly, you might find many good people like taxi drivers, vegetable vendors, shop keepers, government employees, Ticket Checker’s on a train, Police men, many volunteers, donors etc.....

Ensure to develop this one habit because as now you already know "You Reap what you Sow." One of the most important quality to be successful in life. Be a "Compulsive Good Finder"
